The ADTO is very pleased to announce two new additions to our online educational course catalogue: Fundamentals of Removable Prosthetic and Superior Dentures.
Fundamentals of Removable Prosthetics offers instruction on complete denture prosthetic concepts for the dental professional by increasing personal knowledge, proficiency and productivity. It covers the step-by-step procedure of denture fabrication, from the first clinical appointment to the final insertion.
There are two components to this course, each just over three hours. You will be able to receive both components for one low price.
Superior Dentures is the ultimate guide in fabricating full dentures from beginning to end, using Ivoclar Vivadent products. The participant will also learn about the products and techniques, along with tips and tricks of establishing a state-of-the-art denture.
We recently upgraded our online education portal, and there is also a free course (on Pressure Cooker Confidence) that allows you to familiarize yourself with the portal. That course, in which Roger Haskett discusses how to develop authenticity, confidence and engagement skills so that you can communicate effectively while under pressure, is free for a limited time only.

For those who live outside the Greater Toronto Area, the ADTO is hosting outreach meetings in 2016 that will help members to stay informed. We have set aside dates for these and require RSVPs from members who plan to be there. If you wish to attend, please contact Veronica at 416.742.2386.
Our first outreach meeting took place on February 3, 2016 and was well received from those in attendance. We are very excited to be reaching out to more of our members and look forward to discussing our plans with you at these upcoming meetings:
- Cambridge, February 17: At the Cambridge Hotel and Conference Centre.
- Windsor, March 2: Venue to be announced soon.
- Ottawa, April 13: PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE. More details to follow.
Attendees of our outreach meeting in Ottawa (as well as at the ADTO Lounge at Technorama 2016 in April) are in for a special treat. We are pleased to announce that we have lined up legendary results coach Dan Blackburn as our keynote speaker for these events.
Dan's inspirational discourse on 'Change' is sure to ignite a spark and have you pumped for any challenges ahead. Don't miss out!

It is always good to reach out to help people less privileged than us. The ADTO would like to ask members to join it in supporting Nine Miles of Smiles (NMS), a Canadian-launched volunteer initiative that provides dental care to under-serviced areas in Jamaica.
NMS is seeking volunteers, equipment and funds to continue and expand its good work.
Equipment donations can include working, old items such as bench lathes, handpieces, pressure pots, articulators, light cure ovens/triads, trimming burs for lathe or handpiece, model trimmer, baseplate wax, denture teeth, impression trays and just about anything used in denture fabrication.
